Also how do I set my account as server owner so I can access creative mode? I set it in server.properties but it appears forge does not respect this config file.

I have downloaded mods for the Forge server, however they do not seem to load. Where do I install them? Do they go into .minecraft/mods or <server>\mods or <server>\plugins? I have googled this and as usually it is full of crap from squeakers with no useful information. Thanks -Bod

Anyway thanks for the help and I would suggest removing the unnecessary files from the download page and maybe add some sort of basic install instructions, it would have prevented all of this back and forth. One last question is there a template for creating mods in forge that can be used in eclipse?

It was putting the created jar in the .minecraft folder not the server folder. The dialog put the .minecraft path in by default not the directory it started in. I found out thats why it is not in the plugins folder.

It started empty, minecraft created all but the optifine I downloaded.

Also what is the launcher jar and universal jar for, there is no description or file name with the links on the download page (maybe this info should be added?) -Ban

It did not create that file into the server folder. see attachment and again I ran the installer for both client and server both gave a completed successfully message

I have re installed vanilla MC 1.15.2 as well as reinstalled the client after deleting the ".minecraft" folder. I then ran the minecraft 1.15.2 server jar to create the server structure.
