  2. Hi, yesterday I installed ubuntu 18.4 after accidentally nuking my windows install. When I boot forge (I used the universal installer) from the profile in the minecraft launcher it just crashes. I have set java 1.8.0_242 as my default version of java. I believe I may need to change minecrafts java path but it wouldn't work with java 11 either. When I set forges java path to /usr/lib/jvm/java-1.8.0-openjdk-amd64/jre/bin instead of default when I try to launch launcher shows me this error: Unable to create directory. Error details: Not a directory Filename on disk: java Path: /usr/lib/jvm/java-8-openjdk-amd64/jre/bin/java Exists: File Please help I really want to get this working and not have to switch back to windows because ubuntu is so much better!
