    That's exactly what I did. This helped me fix it. The game launched after I changed my default environment. Thanks!

    Hey! I did install jre8-openjdk and it didn't seem to work. Is there something I need to do with the launch options?

    I installed the latest version (1.15.2) of forge launcher. Tried both, latest and stable. When the game is done loading I crash into the Minecraft launcher with the error message; Error: java.lang.ExceptionInInitializerError: null. Crash report: link I'm using Arch Linux. I don't have any problems while using OptiFine for versing 1.14.4.
