  1. I am using Linux Mint 19.3 Tricia
  2. Thank you for your reply. I did a bit a research to understand what is OpenjDK and what is Openj9. My understanding is that these are two version of Java. I must say that I do not really know why one has been installed instead of the other. I had to upgrade java to java 8 to make Minecraft work but I may have installed J9 instead. Would you have an advice about what I should do practically to shift from Openj9 to OpenjDK? Best regards JM
  3. Hi I am not expert at all in Linux - Plus I am not expert in Minecraft (my son plays on Playstation but he wants to use Mods and asked me to install the Linux version of the game to do so) Minecraft is installed and works fine after I upgraded Java to the version 8 The version of Minecraft we have installed is 1.15.2 which corresponds to the Forge version we downloaded Forge Installer works fine and the new "Forge" option appears besides the "last version" Whenever we try to launch the game under the "Forge" option we get the following error message: "the game crashed whilst initializing game / Error: java.lang.ExceptionInInitializerError: null" I copy the log below my signature Thank you very much for any help you may provide JM ---- Minecraft Crash Report ---- // Oh - I know what I did wrong!
