Correct, Optifine is not compatible with forge right now. Until the release version is released, you cannot use it with other mods. -
Forge 1.12.2 server won't launch on Mac

From what I understand, you are missing the original server file. Forge installs a universal.jar and the minecraft.1.12.2.jar. Make sure you have the original minecraft server instance in your server folder and try to rerun it. -
forge stops loading at a certain point and doesnt move

Which installer did you use? Which Forge version did you try to install? -
I am running on the lastest forge of 1.12.2. I press play but my forge does not appear, yet the java program is running and the game isnt appearing. It doesn't crash and just staying like that in the background. I tried researching but it says that I should downgrade to Java 7, but Forge should fix this already.
