I am trying to set up a work space in eclipse and I keep getting this error

when I type in "gradlew setupDecompWorkspace eclipse" into the command prompt it tells me ERROR: JAVA_HOME is not set and no 'java' command could be found in your path. Please set the JAVA_HOME variable in your environment to match the location of your Java installation.

I cant believe i didnt see that

what's the point of having two different versions

does the JAVA-HOME variable come from downloading a program like eclipse

it would be nice to have a search bar so I don't have to scroll through hundreds of different links before finding the right one

how do I get the java version. all that shows in the app store is bedrock
