    Manually installing Forge

    I'm not very experienced with Forge – my skill is limited to basic installation and setting up mods. I wanted to try a 3rd party client for Minecraft, MultiMC. It doesn't support installing Forge, but it does support installing a custom instance through a .zip file. Would it be possible to create a new instance, like Forge would do with the vanilla launcher, and then manually install to that instance? If so, how would one do that?
