nevermind, sorry to maybe a staff member typing out a solution i got it fixed by deleting some versions, not enough disk space
I'm currently using the latest recommended version of forge 1.8.9, 1.8.9-11.15.1.1722 and whenever I launch the game I get an error message. I was reading other forum posts just then and I found 'Go to .minecraft, libraries, org, lwjgl, lwjgl and delete lwjgl-platform and then it should work' but I just figured out Minecraft installs the file there if it is not located while launching.
