When I try to install it, if I double click it nothing happens. I'm not sure why. It looks like it tries for a second to run something, then just quits.

I've tried finding videos explaining how to do this and I can't seem to find anything. I'm trying to download the recommended version currently, I click the installer, and it installs a .jar file. No installer runs or anything. I could just be missing something (I haven't tried to use forge in a LONG time)/somehow doing something completely wrong, so any help is appreciated.
