I cannot find the log I have checked in folder but it is not there. What do I do now?

I have downloaded launcher as well as downloaded multiple times on multiple different devices and have had trouble every single time. This time when I try to open Forge I get the message that says “Could not find the main class: net.minecraftforge.installer.SimpleInstaller. Program will exit.” I have tried jarfix and that does not work. Does anyone have any suggestions for me? I would really appreciate it. By the way I am using Java Minecraft 1.15.2 as well as Forge 1.15.2
