where can i ask about using forge and mods for 1.12.2 the mods on this one wont let me. I downloaded forge for 1.16.1 and it worked fine but 1.16.1 mods are boring so I wanted to use mods for it but it has a weird error, I made topic and a reality controller shut it down saying this doesn't support past versions what do I do I wanna get 1.12 mods.

I downloaded forge for 1.16.1 and it worked perfectly all the mods I placed into the mods folder showed up in the game, but the mods released for 1.16.1 are boring. So I downloaded forge 1.12.2 the download worked fine I made a player for it in the installations section, launched minecraft clicked the mods button on the title and lo and behold there was no option in the bottom left for "go to mods folder" I tried putting the mods in via the .minecraft/mods section and it didnt do anything the mods still aren't showing up.help.
