    Forge Not Installing as an App?

    Just a quick warning; I'm new to this and not very good at grammar and tech, so I'd like to apologize for any errors. When I try to open the Forge installer, I was told that I did not have that app. When I tried again, it asked me which app I wanted to use to open the file. It still didn't allow me on. I noticed that it had a different imagine from the one described, as it was just a piece of paper rather than the anvil/book I'd seen. It appears it's downloading like a file rather than a launcher. My computer is an Acer Aspire 3 if that has anything to do with it. Has anyone had a similar problem? Is there an easy fix to this?
