i'm trying to make a food which will heal you, but when i use the .effect, the intelliJ says that effect is deprecated, what should i do?
super(new Item.Properties() .group(BetterItens.TAB) .food(new Food.Builder() .saturation(1.2f) .effect(new EffectInstance(Effects.REGENERATION, 200, 1), 1) .effect(new EffectInstance(Effects.HEALTH_BOOST, 300, 1), 0.2f) .build()

Just look at how vanilla does that.
(It's good practice to make some research before opening topics, so maybe also try to look up about Tags, I think you'll need it.
I dont think that just copying minecraft:planks in your json will get your recipe works with your wood type.)
That's how Vanilla handle chest crafting (you may found it useful later):
{ "type": "minecraft:crafting_shaped", "pattern": [ "###", "# #", "###" ], "key": { "#": { "tag": "minecraft:planks" } }, "result": { "item": "minecraft:chest" } }
oh ok, thx for the help dude

Try to add
.setRequiresTool()
like that?:
super(Block.Properties.create(Material.WOOD) .hardnessAndResistance(5.0f, 100.0f) .sound(SoundType.WOOD) .harvestLevel(1) .harvestTool(ToolType.AXE) .setRequiresTool(ToolType.AXE));
-
if im creating a recipe envolving wood and i want all types of wood to be acept, how do i code it? like:
{ "type": "minecraft:crafting_shaped", "pattern": [ "xxx", "xxx", "xxx" ], "key": { "x": { "item": "minecraft:???" } }, "result": { "item": "bxvk:rough_wood", "count": 1 } }
can someone help me?

I have had the same issue I saw somewhere that it is a bug.
do u know any way to solve it?

so, ive created a harder wooden block but when i try to make the loot table the item drops even tough im not using the correct tool.
public class BPlankBlock extends Block { public BPlankBlock(){ super(Block.Properties.create(Material.WOOD) .hardnessAndResistance(5.0f, 100.0f) .sound(SoundType.WOOD) .harvestLevel(1) .harvestTool(ToolType.AXE)); } }
im still working on the Loot Table but i think that this code is the problem bc the tutorial guy code is working correctly
