So I was trying to download a minecraft launcher, but when i got it, nothing happened, so i thought it was bugged. I bought the installer and the installer said that i have to install the launcher first. Can I get some help?

Everytime i try to click on the .jar file, nothing comes up. Can i get some help? I also tried jarfix but nothing happened.
