I've downloaded version 1.12.2 in hopes of living out my 2016 dreams of playing 'Minecraft Comes To Life" because I had just purchased Minecraft Java. Sadly, every time I Installed the program, it showed up as a blank 'piece of paper' (best way to describe it) and told me I needed to open it with a Microsoft app. I was really hoping to get a chance to play, but I've looked up a lot of videos and nobody seems to be struggling with the exact problem I have. I went into the 'Folder Options' on my pc and turned off the 'hide extensions for known file types' cause I assumed that's what the problem was. But...nope! Still struggling. Then I downloaded Jar fix and it still didn't work.. I'm not tech savvy at all so it could be my error but nothing that I've tried has worked so far. I'm about to just play it without any mods. But, hey.. At least I have something to play. First image is the pop up I get when I try to open it, and the second image of the 'blank piece of paper' thumbnail.
