Yep, I have Minecraft installed.... v1.16.40 Not Java edition - would that be the issue??

Being daft here I'm sure.... But I can't get Forge installer to run. I Get following error message from Mod System Installer "The directory is missing a launcher profile. Please run the minecraft launcher first" No idea what I am supposed to do!?
