  1. HAH. ok I had a whole reply ready but I figured I'd just go check the assumptions. I think an older minecraft was lying around. Soooooo stupid. So, thanks!
  2. O_O YOUR WILL IS MY COMMAND. PS. Where's the donate link? DONATED! *cheers*
  3. *** RESOLVED *** ***DONATED*** resoution: I had an older version of minecraft that was being called when using magic launcher or some variant. Original message: I'm using magic launcher, and the latest Forge (verified). I'm willing to assume I screwed this up somehow - but I can't figure how. I 7-Zipped my %AppData%/.minecraft folder, nuked it from orbit, and reinstalled minecraft, re-setup Magic Launcher with just forge annnnnd still doesn't work. Nothing looks out of sorts in the forge log until this: 2013-02-24 10:16:14 [FINER] [ForgeModLoader] Sent event FMLPreInitializationEvent to mod Forge 2013-02-24 10:16:14 [iNFO] [sTDERR] Exception in thread "Minecraft main thread" java.lang.NoSuchMethodError: jg.a(Lji;)Ljg; 2013-02-24 10:16:14 [iNFO] [sTDERR] at net.minecraft.client.Minecraft.a(Minecraft.java:425) 2013-02-24 10:16:14 [iNFO] [sTDERR] at asq.a(SourceFile:56) 2013-02-24 10:16:14 [iNFO] [sTDERR] at net.minecraft.client.Minecraft.run(Minecraft.java:744) 2013-02-24 10:16:14 [iNFO] [sTDERR] at java.lang.Thread.run(Unknown Source) 2013-02-24 10:16:48 [iNFO] [sTDERR] Someone is closing me! This is the same error I got before nuking minecraft and reinstalling. This suggests to me that some file or process outside that folder is causing this. This configuration is working just fine on another machine here. I'm fairly technical, but not a Java dev. Yet. Maybe later today What is the shortest path to making this work? The whole log
