    When putting mods in the mod folder do i need to "extract all" from the zipped folder for it to work, similar to how maps work?

    I created a new directory for my forge profile and i'm going to see if that works. I'm new to the forums so i don't know how to "expand the spoiler"

    So i recently downloaded the newest version of forge and i'm using the curseforge site to gets mods, but they won't load in the forge profile that was created. The forge profile text under the profile is 1.16.4-forge-35.1.4 and the mods i'm trying to use are all for minecraft 1.16.4, but like i said earlier none of them are working. I'm only trying to load one at a time, but it still isn't working. PLEASE HELP
