He is talking about the websites that are advertising they already have 1.5 versions of the mod already. Like 9minecraft.net etc. This goes for pretty much any site that isn't these forums or the mod page on the official minecraft forums.

So nothing I can do except be patient?

I'm not sure if this is a problem with the latest pre-release for Minecraft or if I'm missing files for my mods. I can confirm that the mods worked with Forge with Minecraft 1.4.7, all I did was copy and paste the mods from the previous version folder to the new mods folder after adjusting the 1.5 pre-release .jar with Forge.
