    Well, I was able to get mine working, so I'll post what worked for me here. Not sure if it's applicable for anyone else. My issue was that I use MultiMC and it was using Java 13 (my default version). Once I specified Java 1.8, the issue went away.

    I don't suppose there is any resolution for this yet? I'm also experiencing this with the new 1.8.0 version of Direwolf20 for 1.16. It doesn't happen with the 1.7 version
