Hi, so in forge 1.15 having a license like the MIT license was optional, but now in 1.16 it is required that you have present licensing in the .toml folder. If you want to check out the forum on here “Failure message: Missing License Information in file Mod File” they kinda elaborate on exactly the license needed.
Hi, I am trying to download the latest forge 1.16 and there is a licensing issue. I know there was already a topic posted about this but I have a mac and my toml folder is kind of wacky. I was wondering if someone could tell me where on a mac I could insert the licensing information. (Disclaimer I really have a limited idea of what I am doing) In my toml-3.6.3 folder I only have two folders which are com and META-INF. I know typically the licensing is in the META-INF but I only have one file in there which is MANIFEST.MF. The com folder has electronwill/nightconfig/toml and then that toml folder has a bunch of .class files. I would super appreciate the help if anyone knows. Thanks!
