What version of Java do you have? Try updating to the newest Java 8 version. It looks like you have Java 6.

The new forge servers do not require a start.bat file. You will instead run it from the run.bat file and use the "user_jvm_args" file to add any arguments to the server like RAM, etc.

BloodDust78....Do you have mods installed? Try troubleshooting a bit and see if a certain mod is crashing your game. Mods are continuously updating to 1.17.1 and make sure they are up to date. I see that you are using fabric, and that the log is telling you that the "Advanced-XRay-Mod-Fabric-1.17.jar is missing mods.toml file". That could be the cause...

Correct me if I'm wrong but the new forge servers have a different layout with jar files and folders. To find the .jar file, I believe it is in Server Folder\libraries\net\minecraft\server\1.17.1.

As the title says, I have a forge server with the four of us playing hardcore. We ventured into the nether last night and cannot get the withers or any other mob to spawn in the area. We've found four other fortresses and checked the mob spawning and allow nether settings in the config file but still cannot get them to spawn. I loaded up vanilla minecraft 1.17.1 and it worked in the same world. I then removed all the mods and just tried forge 1.17.1 (37.1013) and the problem persists. Checking the debug menu we saw the correct amount of entities spawning in the area and only blazes spawned from their respective mob spawner. Not sure is this is a bug or if something is interfering on our end. Any insight would be appreciated.

Noob here. So I have forge installed for my own solo survival world and have mods added, and it has been great. I want to start a minecraft server for my friends for the upcoming summer update. I heard that adding forge mods to a server requires your friends to install them too in order for them to work. Is this true? Can you add forge mods to your server without anyone having to install anything themselves? If so, how? I know of Bukkit and Paper servers but is there a way for this to work on a Forge server?
