[SOLVED] "A Java Exception Has Occurred" Using Forge Installer for a server
I've tried everything on there that applies, to the best of my ability. Sorry if i'm missing something simple, but as best as I can tell, I have tried everything on there and no change. It seems like the problem might be those library files, but when I use them there is still no change. Is there some exact place that i'm supposed to put them aside from just into the lib folder?

[SOLVED] "A Java Exception Has Occurred" Using Forge Installer for a server
Logs of what? Nothing happens. It installs into the folder, I try to run it to generate the rest of the server files, instead I get an error message popup. I don't know of any logs to post...

[SOLVED] "A Java Exception Has Occurred" Using Forge Installer for a server
I download this: http://adf.ly/673885/http://files.minecraftforge.net/minecraftforge/minecraftforge-installer-1.5.2-7.8.1.738.jar I Run it to install both the client and server. The client works just fine so far, And the server version seems to install fine, However when I click the jar file to launch the server I get this error saying "A Java Exception Has Occurred". Nothing else happens. I've looked around for a few hours, but I cant figure this out. Any help is greatly appreciated! Yes I know its not the latest version >.> Im intentionally making a 1.5.2 server. Edit: Just to be clear, this happens right after installing. There cant be any problems with mods because it hasnt created the mods folder yet. ============================================================================================================================== Ok, problem solved and time to feel stupid The instructions in the EAQ work perfectly, I just needed to grab the 1.5 lib files and throw them in. What went wrong was that I assumed for some reason that using the forge installer jar automatically merged the forge jar file and the vanilla jar file. No idea why I thought that. The second problem was that I was trying to run the server from the forge jar file instead of the modified vanilla file. I seem to recall that working for me in the past... maybe not, but whatever. Its running now so problem solved. Thanks for you help and for putting up with my cluelessness!

Halp. 1.4.7 bug. [No its not 1.5 but I still need help.]
Made a server using: http://mojang.com/2012/12/minecraft-1-4-7-pre-release/ (server and client files) Forge 1.4.7: http://www.minecraftforge.net/forum/index.php/board,3.0.html And Optifine 1.4.6 which im told works fine with 1.4.7: http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/249637-147-optifine-hd-d5-fps-boost-hd-textures-aa-af-and-much-more/page__hl__%20optifine The mods work fine, but 50% of the things I drop, either with Q, or dragndrop from my inv. mysteriously wind up in my boots equip slot. Cobblestone dosnt make for very comfortable shoes =/ Im a total noob at most of this absurdly complicated modding nonsense. Any help is sincerely appreciated.
