  1. I guess I can't play the world with forge, I'll just use vanilla or other mods
  2. The level.dat from before I replaced it was completely corrupted. You couldn't even try to enter the world, it was gone from the list
  3. Ok so this means there is no way to play this world using forge?
  4. The data stored in level.dat is player data. When level.dat is corrupted, you need to replace it with a non-corrupted one. It was the only way to get back that world, and it works on everything but forge. I'm 95% sure this method of getting back worlds is covered on the minecraft wiki
  5. I have posted in multiple places about this, and I haven't gotten help so far. My world had the issue of disappearing from the worlds list, which I fixed by replacing the level.dat file with one from an older save. This mostly fixed the issue, with one problem: forge wouldn't load. It would only begin to load, get to 100%, have everything disappear from the screen leaving the dirt background, and then freeze and need to be shut down manually. This issue doesn't happen on any other worlds, with any other mods besides forge, and doesn't have anything to do with installed mods (I have tried removing all of my mods and it still didn't load). I also tried to upload a video of how it crashes but it didn't upload. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
