  1. NEVERMIND i fixed it for those who come on my path, do the following: -make sure your mod folders serverside and clientside are matched, best way to make sure is to directly copypaste everything from one to the other and replace identical files -go to your minecraft directory, go to 'logs' and find the plain file called debug.log -should see a part towards the bottom where it lists all your mods with "ACEEPTED/REJECTED" next to em, any mods that read REJECTED gotta be deleted
  2. this is embarrassing. my acc is barely a few hours old and this is already my second post anyway clientside mod folder and serverside mide folder are IDENTICAL. same forge version, same minecraft version. try to join server, it reads "Connection closed - mismatched mod channel list" if this is a duplicate am sorry but i was searching and didnt find anything like this any info you need i can give just lmk
  3. alright here's the plan. forge version 36.2.2 on 1.16.5, trying to start up the server, the terminal opens for a few seconds, shows some text for a few frames then immediately dips. (said text attached) ive tried troubleshooting the best i can: i emptied and deleted the mods folder, leaving the 2 jar files, start.bat, and logs. same result. at that, im confident its not any fault of the mods themselves. (photo attached of this) im probably gonna be always available so any info you need i can probably give you
