    Sorry, for the late reply. Deleting the folders worked perfect thank you so far. As the log is that big can you tell me what you searched for to find this paths?

    Hello Forum I`m trying to install forge on latest minecraft version 1.17.1 but it ends with the failure mentioned in the title. After googling this failure i saq that you are able to see whats wrong by having a look in the log file. I did this too, but does not found anything regarding this error. i have the log attached. Is someone able to see whats wrong? i used the build in minecraft jre runtime: java version "1.8.0_51" Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.8.0_51-b16) Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 25.51-b03, mixed mode) Furthermore i have a lot of stuff in the minecraft versions folder.
