  1. Thank you so much! the Jarfix seemed to help the problem.
  2. I'm trying to download Forge on my new laptop but it is not working. I had it installed on my previous laptop with no problem and stopped using it because my laptop lagged too much from the mods. I did the same process as last time but I cannot seem to get the instillation window? I have the .jar file for 1.17.1 (it's written as "forge-1.17.1-37.0.58-installer") and even downloaded the file for 1.16.5 just in case the 1.17 file was the problem (it's written as "forge-1.16.5-36.2.0-installer") but nothing is working. I just reinstalled Java to the newest version and it's up to date, but I'm still not getting the window that allows me to click on the client install. Instead, the file keeps opening up in Internet Explorer, and when I try to open with another thing Java is nowhere to be found. I know for a fact that Java is on my computer though. Does anyone know what to do to fix this issue? Thanks in advance.
