    opening the forge file (with what application?)

    So, I've had this problem ever since I factory reset my PC. I go to download the latest version of forge from this website (1.17.1-37.0.7) and it downloads just fine. Normally, when I would open this, it would come up with the forge installer/set up as usual. Now, it has asked me what I want to open it with and my only option was internet explorer. I assume this is incorrect and I should be opening it with something else but unfortunately, I have no clue. I have enabled java on internet explorer, but nothing has been received. I've also re downloaded java and the latest possible version. I assume the problem is what I am opening it with, since I have ran all the steps that are required apart from this. If someone could let me know what application they use to open their forge files that would mean a lot to me!
