Uninstalling the launcher and re installing it

I have but it is not working

I've tried re installing the launcher but no joy??

I'm trying to install forge 1.17.1 and when asked to install client it says it has no minecraft launcher profile I need to run the launcher first. I'm stuck on what to do can anyone help??
