Yeah sorry I installed Java 17 I just checked a minut ago :D. So, I deleted everything about Forge in my .minecraft folder, then I executed the jarfix.exe that I downloaded previously and THEN I installed the 1.18 Forge Client and now it works !

Hi, I had the same problem and tried to run Jarfix then re-install forge client for 1.18 but the Minecraft Launcher comes back as soon as it disappears with an error message. I had the same problem with Forge client 1.17.1 too. Do you have any other solution ? (I don't know if it's related to the bug but I use Java 17 to run Mc 1.18)
