    Just uploaded the correct installer from win machine to ubuntu via winscp. Sorry, didn't check the checksum. Very strange behavior :( Thank you!

    And it's very strange, that if I try to download several times, this md5sum stays the same (6ecbb611d38ecd2c7bed8e1900e5dfc7).

    Wow! md5sum forge-1.16.5-36.2.0-installer.jar 6ecbb611d38ecd2c7bed8e1900e5dfc7 forge-1.16.5-36.2.0-installer.jar which doesn't align with original f2e0b8b9c7634fc854ce566f392dcded *forge-1.16.5-36.2.0-installer.jar and which is in my win download... Can you suggest what to use instead of wget?

    Hello I'm running Ubuntu 20.04.3 LTS Vanilla minecraft server (1.16.5) works fine. I try to install forge (https://files.minecraftforge.net/net/minecraftforge/forge/index_1.16.5.html) I run mget https://maven.minecraftforge.net/net/minecraftforge/forge/1.16.5-36.2.19/forge-1.16.5-36.2.19-installer.jar It finishes correctly 2021/12/04 20:53:56 start download forge-1.16.5-36.2.0-installer.jar 2021/12/04 20:53:56 total size: 6.988 MB 7327418/7327418 [==================================================] 2364 kB/s [ FINISHED! ] 2021/12/04 20:53:58 https://maven.minecraftforge.net/net/minecraftforge/forge/1.16.5-36.2.0/forge-1.16.5-36.2.0-installer.jar => forge-1.16.5-36.2.0-installer.jar 2021/12/04 20:53:58 Time took 2.533958402s then I run sudo java -jar forge-1.16.5-36.2.0-installer.jar It says Error: Invalid or corrupt jarfile forge-1.16.5-36.2.0-installer.jar I've tried jre version 8 and 16, it works the same. I've tried to download the installer in win machine it downloads the same size file, 7327418 bytes. Pls tell me what to read to understand what am I doing wrong. Thanks
