    I'm going to necro this thread because it's still happening three years later and the lack of responses is crazy to me. It took me so long to find someone else who's having this issue, does no one else bother pressing the recipe book button on a crafting table? Running a server on Forge 36.2.20 and Minecraft version 1.16.5 Edit: The game freezes completely for over five minutes (forced close after waiting) whenever the recipe book button is pressed on a workbench/table. Rejoining the same server, if the inventory is opened, the recipe book tries to open and shows the main page of it before the game freezes again. Went to bed, joined the server in the morning, and now I can open my inventory but the game lags terribly and running the Spark mod to find out what shows the Recipe Book process is eating 40% of my CPU without even having opened it.
