im sorry can you possibly write a step by step how you would go about doing this? this is my very first time trying to host any kind of server ever. soooo im pretty lost and confused about what i should be doing??? especially since you're telling me this video im using is garbage lol. my buddy hosted a fabric server by using one of these tutorials that was created by the same guy and that fabric server works just fine??? but the forge tutorial is garbage? what is it outdated or something and i just dont know it?

Because im trying to locally host a minecraft (forge) 1.16.5 from my computer so me and my friends can play on it together? ^^^^^^i watched this video and a couple others. and im just not getting the same/all the files that he's getting when following step by step. same thing when using other tutorial videos. im just hitting a roadblock and would love to know if anyone may have a solution for this problem.

Im missing the .json file from installing the 1.16.5 forge server. Im only getting 2 Jar files and a Libraries folder. Ive tried watching a bunch of videos on installing a 1.16.5 server, but im still not getting the .json
