    Forge not allowing LAN on 1.18.1?

    Hey so I've spent the last 2 or so hours trying to troubleshoot this, and I can't figure out exactly what is causing it. When I try to connect via LAN no mods vanilla from the Minecraft launcher, we can connect in LAN no problem. When I try a test profile on curse forge with zero mods installed besides forge, we cannot get the games to connect over LAN. It's not a version difference issue, I have both computers in the same room so Ive double checked all that stuff. Any ideas? Is this a known issue? Everything is allowed through the firewall, otherwise vanilla wouldn't work right?
