  1. I've modded minecraft before, but that was probably 6 months ago. Unfortunately the mod world of minecraft is ever evolving. I used to take jar files and copy contents into other jar files and things worked. Now forge has an installed (I though "Oh thank heaven") but it doesn't seem to work. The mods I want to use are stable for 1.7.2 so those are the versions I'm downloading. But that's putting the carriage before the horse. First I want to be able to run minecraft with forge installed. So here's the problem. Use the installed (tried for both 1.7.1 and 1.7.2 'recommended' versions. After installing and selecting the version in the profile and clicking play, the client fails to run minecraft and the launcher throws this log at me: [13:55:27] [main/ERROR] [LaunchWrapper]: Unable to launch java.util.ConcurrentModificationException at java.util.ArrayList$Itr.checkForComodification(Unknown Source) ~[?:1.8.0_25] at java.util.ArrayList$Itr.remove(Unknown Source) ~[?:1.8.0_25] at net.minecraft.launchwrapper.Launch.launch(Launch.java:117) [launchwrapper-1.9.jar:?] at net.minecraft.launchwrapper.Launch.main(Launch.java:28) [launchwrapper-1.9.jar:?] This is the full log created after attempting to launch: http://pastebin.com/VCRbtx26 I remember we used to have to delete Meta-Inf so I went into each versions jar and deleted that, no change. Again, this is vanilla minecraft, only forge installed, no mods in mod folder. I've cleared the versions, re-downloaded, re-installed and get the same result. I'm running an AMD Athlon x2 dual core with 4GB RAM on WinXP Pro SP3. Vanilla launcher. I just want minimap and optifine mods... this is too much work! Though Mojang was gonna implement mod support! Sad panda... SOLVED First solution I found, I read that the newest version of Java 1.8 has problems, so I downloaded and installed 1.7, removed 1.8 and made progress. Launcher told me my jar file was corrupt (meta inf was removed) so I reinstalled forge and have a working minecraft build 1.7.2. The solution was reverting from NEW java to JAVA VERSION 1.7. <<< SOLUTION!
  2. Ok, I've been using this site to download Forge Mod Loader http://www.minecraftdl.com/forge-modloader-fml-mod/ and I've been having problems with Chickenbones codechickencore and NEI mods. It just struck me to use this sites 'files' link to download the mod loader, and all of a sudden the mods loaded just fine... WTF is the site I've been using!?!?!
  3. I would suggest for both of you installing the mods one at a time and running Minecraft. If all 3 work ok by themselves, add one more. Most likely one mod is conflicting with the other. Once you figure out which one is causing problems, you can report it to the appropriate mod creator and hopefully you can get some mod specific help, or an update. GL!
  4. I KNEW something in his mod was causing a problem. Thank you for pointing out that bit of info, I will specify it in his thread.
  5. I know the title isn't the most descriptive, I'm frusterated with trying to get support for installing mods in 1.5.1. All mods I've used for 1.4.7 have been working perfectly fine, but attempting to update has been a week long headache (and I'm not even a coder!). Here's what I'm running: AMD Athlon X2 with 2 GB RAM on Windows XP Pro. nVidia GT520 graphics card. I have had no problems installing FML, Rei's Minimap (and I have installed Optifine, though I am not ATM, hoping to add NEI or TMI, then I'll try Optifine). I'm trying to install ChickenBones codechickencore.jar for use with his Not Enough Items mods. Whenever I add codechickencore to the coremods folder I have problems. I have been posting on Chickenbones thread attempting to get support but have been ignored so far. I gave up and attempted to use TMI instead, but had the same problem. So I looked a little closer at the error log and decided to try this forum instead because I see alot of this in the error logs "cpw.mods.fml.relauncher.FMLRelauncher.relaunchApplet(FMLRelauncher.java:247)" Install steps: I have deleted the entire .minecraft folder in order to start from scratch to eliminate variables. Opening the minecraft.jar I have added "fml-universal-1.5.1-5.1.8.613.zip" then add "[1.5.1]ReiMinimap_v3.3_04.zip" and delete the Meta-Inf. At this point I run minecraft to make sure there are no problems, and everything works fine. Now, simply adding codechickencore to the coremods folder ruins everything. After launching (yes, using the regular launcher) I see the FML launcher screen, which appears to complete ok, but once it closes I am left with a black minecraft screen. I have left it go for half an hour, it does not load and the error log does not get any longer. Adding NEI to the coremods folder changes nothing, however I do noticed that according to the FML log both codechickencore and NEI mods are 'loaded successfully'. I am completely at a loss for what to do. As far as I can tell I am installing everything correctly. Anyones suggestions and assistance is much appreciated. Error log: http://pastebin.com/Y3FzFwbg
