    Altering slightly the functionality of vanilla blocks

    Greetings. I am new to Minecraft Modding, still getting accustomed to the code and its process. I want to change the way the vanilla ores drop items to match my custom ones. I wonder about the way I could alter the vanilla blocks' functionalities?
