    but i swear i downloaded it to the right file path and everything. ill try to reinstall it.

    so, i installed my optifine (ver 1.18.2) into my forge 1.18.2 folder. it installed a optifine account as normal into the Minecraft launcher so i thought it was working. i went into my forge version of the game but the shaders option in the setting was missing (mods still work though). i was confused because it had never done this before. basically to the forge profile optifine was not installed even though all the appropriate files for it were in the .Minecraft folder.
