  2. Here is the point: Today, I wanted to play on a server that was requesting Forge, so I went here, downloaded the recomended build which is: 3.3.8-152 I am using Ubuntu 10.04 so I opened up the archive with forge and the minecraft.jar, copied from forge to minecraft.jar and deleted META-INF. But when I start Minecraft, Surprise! Black screen! So I open it from the console and I get a crash report! Here is it: Exception in thread "Thread-3" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: forge/ITextureProvider at java.lang.ClassLoader.defineClass1(Native Method) at java.lang.ClassLoader.defineClass(ClassLoader.java:634) at java.security.SecureClassLoader.defineClass(SecureClassLoader.java:142) at java.net.URLClassLoader.defineClass(URLClassLoader.java:277) at java.net.URLClassLoader.access$000(URLClassLoader.java:73) at java.net.URLClassLoader$1.run(URLClassLoader.java:212) at java.security.AccessController.doPrivileged(Native Method) at java.net.URLClassLoader.findClass(URLClassLoader.java:205) at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(ClassLoader.java:321) at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(ClassLoader.java:266) at um.<init>(SourceFile:19) at tw.<init>(RenderItem.java:22) at qd.<init>(SourceFile:27) at net.minecraft.client.Minecraft.<init>(Minecraft.java:191) at n.<init>(SourceFile:33) at net.minecraft.client.MinecraftApplet.init(MinecraftApplet.java:31) at net.minecraft.Launcher.replace(Launcher.java:153) at net.minecraft.Launcher$1.run(Launcher.java:94) Caused by: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: forge.ITextureProvider at java.net.URLClassLoader$1.run(URLClassLoader.java:217) at java.security.AccessController.doPrivileged(Native Method) at java.net.URLClassLoader.findClass(URLClassLoader.java:205) at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(ClassLoader.java:321) at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(ClassLoader.java:266) ... 18 more This is anything I get! No other log files or stuff like that! This error report is done with a CLEAN version of Minecraft 1.2.5! No mods, no ANYTHING! CLEAN! Why does it happen? I tried with multiple other recommended releases but same thing happened! Please help!
