    Tekkit 1.2.9i and OptiFine

    I am currently playing Tekkit 1.2.9i and am really over Void Fog in my current world. The internets pointed me to OptiFine as a way to remove the fog effect. I have downloaded and installed OptiFine_1.6.4_HD_U_C5. Higher versions of OptiFine for Minecraft 1.6.4 just won't load, C4 also seems to work and I haven't tried lower than that. When I load my current save the world crashes, if I make a new world everything seems to work just fine. Unfortunately, I have reached the limit of my technical ability to trouble shoot this. Here is my crash log below if anyone can help push me in the right direction.
