    Cannot open forge installer (windows)

    I am on windows 11 with Minecraft java version 1.19. Whenever I open the file "forge-1.18.2-40.1.52-installer" with "Java (TM) Platform SE Binary" a window pops un for roughly half a second then disappears. Please also note that there is no newer (1.19) version of forge available yet to go with the game version, so I suppose that is not the problem. I have tried downloading the different versions of java (windows 34 and 64 bit), as well as uninstalling and reinstalling java and the forge installer to no avail. Works perfectly fine on my mac desktop. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
