  1. @Luis_ST That did it! You are awesome man thank you so much for the help. I'll post what's inside my run.bat file so that anyone else who stumbles across this post has an example of how to get it working.
  2. @Luis_ST I'll go try this immediately and I'll let you know how it goes.
  3. @Ugdhar Yes I ran the forge installer to install the server, here's the log below. The post was to big so I put just half of the log on this post and I'll post the 2nd half in another.
  4. @warjort I hadn't added anything to the run.bat file until you mentioned it, I had just been using the "users_jvm_args.txt". So I went ahead and tried what you said but it still didn't work. @Luis_ST Java 17 is fully updated to the current release. I also have the most recent java 8 installed. How do I make sure it starts it with java 17? @Ugdhar I'll have to post the log in the post after this one because the message was too long with everything else. Thank all three of you for responding to my thread to try to help me, it's greatly appreciated.
  5. I was trying to run Minecraft Forge to get all the files I needed to put on my server but I ran into a problem. Whenever I use the run.bat I get a couple of messages in the command prompt and no files are added to the folder. Here's what appears in the command prompt when I double click the run.bat file. Once I press any key it closes and the only things in the folder are a libraries folder, run.bat, run.sh and user_jvm_args.txt which were added when I first ran minecraft forge. Here's what versions I'm using of forge and JDK. These are the arguments that I'm using. Thanks in advance to anyone that tries to help.
