    minecraft forge server jar files

    I have the same "problem" in the sense that my host offers forge installation, but for a fee or let us do a manual install using a .jar file. So related to this, can I make a .jar file myself or is this not recommended ? Not asking how to do it, but if 1. I have the right to do so and 2. if I will really break everything. (I suppose there are good reasons for not having a .jar file anymore) This also means that this section of the EAQ is outdated : Thanks in advance for your answers !
