I went to allocate RAM on the CurseForge Launcher, and it showed the max I could allocate was 17120MB, or 17.12GB, out of my 32GB RAM. When I go to my modpack options off the Minecraft Launcher, it reads -Xmx17120m - Xms256m, or -Xmx17.12GB -Xms0.256GB, which means MC can allocate 17.12GB to heap space, and it can only allocate a maximum of 0.26 heap space. Should Minecraft be able to allocate more than a max of 0.26 heap space, or should that not affect it? Game crashed after the launcher wouldn't respond, showed a link to this page, which says that the error could be caused by the game running out of memory, and that I should check my JVM arguments or remove any resource packs installed on my modpack, so I uninstalled my resource packs, which didn't do jack since Minecraft still wont respond and Im still stuck on the red Mojang screen. https://bugs.mojang.com/browse/MC-23484 Game crashed after it was stuck on the red Mojang screen, and gave me this error (along with the crash report linked at the bottom: "The game crashed whilst rendering overlay Error: java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space" which indicates to me that the heap space allocated through Xms shouldn't be an issue, but that the maximum allocated heap space of 256m, and it not saving changes past this, IS an issue. Changing the value on the modpack through the Minecraft Launcher doesnt work, and only the Xmx value changes through the CurseForge Launcher. https://gist.github.com/iiEco-Ryan3166/a855247b12741e4cd41fbf77cb2cb41b

I went to my modpack under CurseForge, clicked Profile Options, unchecked Use System Memory Settings, and set it to 16000MB (16GB). I then launched my modpack from CurseForge, it opened the Minecraft Launcher, > Installations > (3 dots) Edit > More Options, and under JVM ARGUMENTS it shows "-Xmx16384m -Xms256m -Dminecraft.applet.TargetDirectory="C:\Users\iiEco\curseforge\minecraft\Instances\Echelon's Vanilla Enhanced Modpack" -Dfml.ignorePatchDiscrepancies=true -Dfml.ignoreInvalidMinecraftCertificates=true -Duser.language=en -Duser.country=US" The Xmx setting (which chooses maximum heap space that can be allocated) is, I think, where I need it to be, whereas the Xms setting (which specifies how much memory Java will allocate for heap space) still wont change. and I'm STILL running into the Minecraft Launcher not responding and the same red screen as described in the linked post at the bottom of above thread

I launched my modpack from CurseForge, it opened the Minecraft Launcher. I go to Installations > (3 dots) Edit > More Options, and under JVM ARGUMENTS it shows "-Xmx4096m -Xms256m -Dminecraft.applet.TargetDirectory="C:\Users\iiEco\curseforge\minecraft\Instances\Echelon's Vanilla Enhanced Modpack" -Dfml.ignorePatchDiscrepancies=true -Dfml.ignoreInvalidMinecraftCertificates=true -Duser.language=en -Duser.country=US" I went to System Information and found that I have 32GB of Installed Physical memory, so I figure I should allocate 16G to Minecraft. I then change "-Xmx4096m -Xms256m -" to "-Xmx16g -Xms16g -" (I've also tried -Xmx / -Xms16G with a capital G), then I click save and Play. I encounter the same error below. I go back through the process back to JVM ARGUMENTS, only to see the Xmx and Xms settings have reset back to 4096m and 256m. I've tried closing CurseForge and Minecraft Launchers, and restarting my PC, no dice. I've tried pressing RESET, which then shows the JVM ARGUMENTS as: "-Xmx2G -XX:+UnlockExperimentalVMOptions -XX:+UseG1GC -XX:G1NewSizePercent=20 -XX:G1ReservePercent=20 -XX:MaxGCPauseMillis=50 -XX:G1HeapRegionSize=32M", where I proceed to change the "-Xmx2G" to "-Xmx16G", and then Save > Play, but still encounter the same issue, where I see the JVM ARGUMENTS have again reset back to 4096m and 256m. This is the only way I've found to allocate more RAM / Memory. What am I missing? How do I get the changes to actually save? --------------------------------------------------------- Error 6:09PM 8/31/22 "The game crashed whilst rendering overlay Error: java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space" https://gist.github.com/iiEco-Ryan3166/1c15cb46b6cdc570932ac60299efd963 --------------------------------------------------------- Previous issue described here:

I've cleared through the previous crashes and mod errors just to get to this screen where Minecraft isn't responding, it stays on a white screen for about a minute, and then it proceeds to the red Mojang screen where it loads 98% of the way and never any more than that. I get the exit code -805306369, and that's it. List of my installed mods can be found here:

I get the below error while trying to play my modpack "Mod modone requires minecraft 1.18.2 Currently, minecraft is 1.19.2" I don't recall downloading a mod called "modone", and no amount of searching for any keywords comes up with a search. What is "modone" and how do I remove it? Link to video of my installed mods:
