  1. I have a question about creating custom furnaces. From the tutorials I've seen it appears that creating a custom furnace (some kind of machine) generally involves copying a number of underlying Minecraft classes. This obviously will not work for an open source mod since you can't expose the original source. Does anyone have a good way of dealing with this or a better way of creating machines? At this point I'm just going to go with rewriting all of those classes for my custom machine. I suppose that may just be a casualty of not having an official API. I appreciate the help.
  2. Hello, I'm doing a program called CoderDojo which partners up programming professionals with primary school students to mentor them in programming and IT. I'm going to be in charge of teaching Minecraft modding for our chapter. I am a Java developer and definitely not the best at graphics design. I was curious if anyone would like to donate some models to help our effort. Here is the Mod I was thinking about creating: Mod Name: OfficeMod What is the mod about: An homage to the movie Office Space which will allow for the creation of TPS reports which can be faxed to produce emeralds (although sometimes they will produce a PC Load Letter Error which will jam the machine). There will also be other office like blocks such as cubicles and desks and such. This mod will be licensed under the GPLv3. Items/blocks/GUIs needed: a few fax machines (2-3), cubicle walls (3x3x1), TPS Report, PC Load Letter Error, Fax GUI If anyone has other textures/models lying around that they want to donate I'm sure I could put those to use as well. Also if anyone knows of some good mods on GitHub the students can check out that would be great too. I've already found Equivalent Exchange 3.
