  1. Okay, thank you for your help. I think i finally fixed it; leaving what worked for me here so no one has to go through the same thing. It seems the issue was my AMD GPU conflicting with Flywheel. As described in https://github.com/adoptium/adoptium-support/issues/674: Open ...\curseforge\minecraft\Instances\[installation]\config\flywheel-client.toml change: backend = "INSTANCING" to backend = "OFF"
  2. I have already tried Adoptium, and i still crash! I think the files i put up there were from earlier crashes. However, when using adoptium i seem to only get error code -1073740940. This does not generate an hs_err-file, but i do get a crash log. However, it does not seem to contain any useful information. launcher_log doesn't seems to have any information either. I made a gist of both of them: https://gist.github.com/erikvah/0fb091798f98a05b789aaeb92cee8147
  3. I've been having issues with crashes within a minute of entering a world, getting error code -1073740940, -1, or 1. This seems to be a somewhat common occurance right now. It does not give a proper crash report. I've looked around for other people with this issue, and no one ever seems to solve it. For reference, running Forge 40.1.76 in curseforge, ~130 mods. I've tried: Running curseforge as admin Disabling User Account Control Running windows in safe mode Reinstalling mods Reinstalling curseforge Disabling mods* Reinstalling Java Using a different java distro (Adoptium) Reinstalling windows(!) *This one was especially frustrating. I enabled mods a few at a time with no issues until i narrowed it down to about 5 that could be the issue. However, none of these in particular cause the crash. Rather, it just seems like it eventually happens if enough mods are active; maybe memory size related? I've ran hardware and software diagnostics, and nothing seems to be faulty. When i do get -1073740940 i get no real crash log. Checking the hs_err_pidXXXX file i get this: https://pastebin.com/BUZSAgGx. I noticed that this doesn't seem to be detecting my graphics card, could that be part of the issue? For reference, I have an AMD RX 480. Im honestly stumped at this point; do i just need to wait for a java/forge update?
