    after a bit more testing I have identified that optifine is causing this issue. I have forge and millionaire installed and when i added optifine as well it caused the issue, still unsure why it is doing this though

    I have Forge, Optifine, and Millionaire mod installed (in that order) and everything was working fine. I left the computer for a couple hours and when I played minecraft again the majority of the items were invisible both in my hand and in the inventory/hotbar. I uninstalled all the mods and reinstalled and same thing. I am using the default minecraft texture pack as well as the latest versions for all the mods.
