    Mods not showing up in game

    I'm new to any kind of modding scene so I don't know how to go about fixing any of this. I've checked several different posts and videos and tutorials to no avail as i cant seem to find anyone with the same issue I just installed forge and ran it and opening the mods tab there is just forge and minecraft default showing in the listing there as "2 mods loaded". I then dragged 3 .jar mod files into my mods folder and rebooted my game. When i opened my mods tab again it still only showed the 2 default mods and none of the new ones i added show up. ive tried everything i can think of to no success. im running the latest (as of writing this) version of forge for 1.19.2 which is my prefered version.
