    Minecraft forge 1.16.5 can't set fps limit.

    I have tried Minecraft.getInstance().options.framerateLimit = 20; and it wouldn't set the fps limit to 20, can someone help me? I do not get any errors, the code just does nothing. This is in minecraft 1.16.5
