So, I have been trying to download forge 1.8.9 to get some mods. but whenever I click the "Download Recommended" button, it downloads. but when I try to open the download it brings a window that says "Choose which app to open this .jar file in". When I click the java button (because I know you need java to install forge), it has an error message saying Java installation to complete and there are errors in the file and to check that the commands are valid and try again. I am not sure what to do so could someone please help?
