okay this time i tried the same version but an older build of forge : forge-1.20.1-47.0.35 and it gives me the same error as before there is on thing i noticed with version 1.20.x is that when loading the server it loads much less recipes as forge-1.20.6-50.1.21 Version 1.20.1-47.0.35 [19:07:54] [main/INFO] [minecraft/RecipeManager]: Loaded 7 recipes [19:07:54] [main/INFO] [minecraft/AdvancementList]: Loaded 1271 advancements Version 1.20.6-50.1.21 [19:13:17] [main/INFO] [minecraft/RecipeManager]: Loaded 1175 recipes [19:13:17] [main/INFO] [minecraft/AdvancementTree]: Loaded 1276 advancements idk why it does this

Forge Version: forge-1.12.2-14.23.5.2859 starts the server when switching to java version 8. Should i try using java 8 with the version i mentioned in my frist post? (edit): won't work

Done that it just recreates the file and gives the same error

Fresh install with no mods crashes on startup Crash report and log: https://paste.ee/p/w6VKm Things i have tired: Installing the server with root access Seeing if i can start a normal vanilla server: i can tried other forge versions reinstalled java RE tried different java versions 11, 17 and 21 One thing i haven't tried is a fresh install of ubuntu but that would take me days since i need to backup stuff I hope someone can figure it out what is going wrong here. with best regards Umsko
